The event took place on Saturday, March 2 at the former Gobelins freight station, currently being renovated by SEGRO, a property company specializing in logistics and industrial real estate, and transformed into an innovative and sustainable urban logistics hub.

Scheduled for completion in 2025, SEGRO Centre Paris Les Gobelins is located at the heart of Paris's 13th arrondissement. It totals 75,000 sq m on two levels.

Seán McGirr, the new Creative Director of the House of Alexander McQueen, chose this untouched site, steeped in history, for the presentation of his first collection.

This event marks an important milestone for the fashion house, and highlights the raw opulence that characterizes Alexander McQueen.

Laurence Giard, Managing Director of SEGRO France, comments:

“SEGRO has been supporting the creative industry for many years, particularly in the UK where a number of our spaces have hosted TV and film studio and production facilities since the 1960s.
Our purpose, ‘enabling extraordinary things to happen’, also means connecting universes that apparently look far from one another to reveal their synergies. Our conviction is that these connections can be formidable artistic, economic and social levers.

"The exceptional volumes of the SEGRO Centre Paris Les Gobelins made it possible to host the Alexander McQueen fashion show, and more than 700 guests were able to discover this unusual venue, which demonstrates the flexibility of our buildings.

"Logistics spaces are an essential link in the smooth running of many industries, including the luxury goods industry. The alliance of these two worlds may seem surprising, but a real synergy exists, and we count many companies from the luxury goods industry among our customers".
