What will change in the new SPZ?

Consultation information

Slough Borough Council are currently undertaking the Deposit Stage Consultation on the new SPZ scheme. This will launch on 8 July, and you have until Monday 19 August to provide your feedback at www.slough.gov.uk/planning/simplified-planning-zone-spz

Earlier in the year, SEGRO carried out its own initial consultation and published information outlining some of the key aspects of the new SPZ including the economic benefits, sustainability improvements, building heights, design enhancements, and training and employment benefits. The Next 10 Years...

...Business as usual, just better

The proposed new SPZ will run for 10 years, from November 2024 to November 2034. It will enable SEGRO to continue to meet the requirements of modern business and the community in Slough by:

  • Creating capacity for additional industrial space by delivering taller buildings in appropriate locations, being sensitive to our neighbours
  • Developing a class-leading industrial design code for new development.
